Ski-in seclusion

Bachelor Gulch

A private, forested enclave between Beaver Creek and Arrowhead where nearly every home touches the snow, anchored by the Ritz-Carlton.

Character

The feel of the place.

Bachelor Gulch is the valley's most complete expression of ski-in, ski-out living — a gated mountainside of timber-and-stone homes threaded with private skiways, centered on the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch and its slope-side amenities. Establishing itself in the mid-1990s, the enclave built out within about a decade and has matured into deep forested privacy.

Architecture & housing

Grand single-family mountain homes and estate parcels, along with residences and penthouses at the Ritz-Carlton. Architecture leans to classic lodge forms executed at the highest level — this is where the valley's great log-and-stone houses live.

Mountain access

The Bachelor Gulch Express (Lift 16) serves the enclave, and the vast majority of properties enjoy quick slope access — many with skiway frontage of their own.

Ownership considerations

Expect layered structures: resort company assessments, community association dues, and — for hotel residences — Ritz-Carlton service arrangements. Club access offerings change over time and should be confirmed at contract, not assumed.

Assessments, dues, rental rules, and club access change; treat figures as of the date you verify them, not as fixtures of the place.

Rebekah's perspective

From working the market.

For buyers whose brief is 'skis on at the back door, absolute quiet,' Bachelor Gulch is usually the answer. The art is in matching the house to the skiway.
